There are quaint seaside towns, beaches, lighthouses, and freshwater fjords sprinkled along the western coast of Newfoundland, Canada's easternmost province. A hiker's paradise and a nature lover's treasure, this area will keep you occupied for hours on end. Taking a boat ride on Western Brook Pond
Source: wildgrosmorne.com Western Brook Pond boat tours are one of the best-loved activities in Gros Morne National Park.A two-mile trail leads from the parking lock to the boat for the two-hour voyage. After boarding, you'll soar between the enormous, billion-year-old cliffs that are peppered with precipitous falls that flow into the park's main lake. Lobster Cove's lighthouse is worth a visitThe entrance to Boone Bay's northern side is marked by the lighthouse and a whole lot more at the Lobster Cove Head Lighthouse. A walk outside leads through a tuckamore forest and seaside settings, making it one of the best places to see whales and capture the breathtaking hues of a sunset. Interpretive displays within show the history of the locals who lived along the shore and how they were reliant on the sea. The lighthouse keepers are honoured on one wall, and a room displays how the house was decorated while they lived there. Explore the TablelandsThe southwest section of the park is dominated by the somewhat gloomy Tablelands. Before tectonics lifted it from the depths and positioned it directly on the continent, this enormous flat-topped massif was a component of the earth's mantle. You may stroll across the planet's mantle, which is often located deep below the crust, on guided tours to learn more about the incredibly unusual geology of the park. This area of the park is home to moose, bears, caribou, and arctic hare, all of which are regularly spotted when you're out exploring. Oceanfront RV Park & Campground
