Each student studied philosophy, law or literature. Every time it all began with the paragraph "Ancient Greece." I’m sure you have heard about famous ancient thinkers, artists, and layers, but know very little about the modern life of the country. After a terrible crisis in 2009, the popularity of Greece among tourists began to fall rapidly. The majority ignores and waits for better times, but for students, it is one of the best options for traveling. Greece is a cheap country compared to other EU members. However, as thousands of years ago, the cradle of world civilization has something to surprise travelers. Especially in the winter and spring, when there is no invasion of those who want to sunbathe. That’s why I chose Greece for my vacations. As a student, I have a limited budget, so I needed to think about all in advance. I looked through different airlines and their offers. This was a challenge. After a long time of internet surfing finally, I made a decision. I chose Thomson Airlines because of their services. The tickets were booked, and I started to plan my trip to Greece in details. This should be great travel. I arrived at the airport on time; I had almost 2 hours before boarding. Everything seemed to be good, but recently it was announced that the flight was delayed. The announcement claimed the 1-hour delay. There was nothing to do except waiting. After that, the airline representatives told that the delay time is 2-hours. After that was one more hour delay. As a result, I was waiting at the airport for 5 hours. It was a terrible experience. At last, I boarded, and after three and a half hours the plane landed in Athens airport. That was the most terrible flight I have ever had. After returning home, in Brussel, I decided to claim for compensation because of spoiled vacations. My friend told me that I could do this contacting the airline representative. I sent an email to TUI representatives. The answer did not come. I waited for two weeks and still didn’t get the answer on my claim. I was disappointed and googled for more information. All I needed to do was filling the form with details about my flight such as flight date and number, the length of the flight, in my case, it was 2100 km, time and reason for flight delay, in my case it was 5 hours, and the reason was the airline’s staff strike. The most popular metro station for walks to the center is Monasteraki. There begins the most picturesque and cozy area of ??Plaka. Narrow streets, gardens with tangerine trees, small, perfectly painted houses and lots of cats. Because of the incredible photogenicity of this place, there are always many tourists and photographers. As you see, even the worst situation could be fixed if you know who can help you.
