How to choose the perfect luxury hotel for you |

With the need for permanent connectivity on one side and the desire for immersion and authenticity on the other, the modern luxury traveler has a completely different range of expectations from previous generations. Increasing globalization has, in a way, led to a blending of cultures around the world, which means that hotels, especially those with international brands, must work more than ever before to differentiate. It goes without saying that those who succeed in combining seamless technologies with authentic authenticity (by actively integrating unique aspects of local culture into design, cooking, activities, and service) are ahead of the curve. Determining Your Priorities But it all depends on what you are looking for. "When you're looking for a luxury hotel that's right for you, you need to prioritize your holiday," says Todd Cilano, Regional Vice-President and Director of the Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita. "Are you more likely to seek privacy and isolation or would you prefer to be active and have a wide range of leisure activities such as water sports, golf or tennis? " Fortunately, most of the luxury hotels in Mauritius are equipped to meet different coexisting priorities, which is especially important when traveling with family. Indeed, the current trend towards multi generational travel (which can sometimes require months of planning) proves the value given to family moments, rather than money spent, which now seems to define a style of "luxury" far outdated. Todd Cilano confirms this. "We receive an incredible variety of requests from our clients during their stays, and our job is to tailor our services and offerings to ensure that it fits the way they want to spend their precious vacation," explains -the. "Our professional Ernie Els golf course is a definite plus for some of our guests, as are our villas with private pools. For parents, our complete children's program and our babysitting service offered by our Hobbit Village children's club are clearly key factors that tip the scales. " Service is fundamental But since traveling is no longer, by itself, an indication of the status of a person in the world, what can hotels do to give their customers in search of luxury a sense of prestige and uniqueness? According to Ilias Vamvakas, director of the hotel Angsana Balaclava Mauritius, everything is related to the service. "The atmosphere, the service and the friendliness of the staff are essential elements that distinguish a brand of international class such as Angsana Balaclava Mauritius from others," he says. "It is through the continuous training and development of the staff that high standards are maintained throughout the establishment. And our hotel is also very eager to participate in the development of local talent and future generations of our country. Although international brand, we are very well integrated into the Mauritian culture and this one dictates to reserve to all our guests a royal treatment." But in the end, it all comes down to one principle: travel is a deeply personal affair. When we travel half the world for our trip, we want to feel like we are experiencing a truly special experience or even transforming us. And the hotels know how to recognize this and are able to satisfy both our practical needs (uninterrupted Wi-Fi and impeccable service) and our personal desires (exclusive experiences and extraordinary adventures) really have a formula winner.
