Why Are Software Based Load Balancing Applications Superior For Customers? |

In the world of computing, hardware used to be the standard in which we used to mark the performance and efficiency of computers. Terms such as clock speed and cache ruled the industry. Then, with the development of the Internet and faster transfer speeds over digital connections as well as increasing demand for data, the hardware we came to rely on just couldn’t handle the load anymore. This is why developers and innovators turned to virtual hardware and developed the concept of the cloud.
The Virtual Universe
Software and its use cases have skyrocketed far beyond what anyone has ever dreamed. The development of the virtual universe known as the cloud has given forth new opportunities and more efficient ways of doing business that there is no turning back. However, with this technology it still needs to be maintained and regulated. This regulation process is known as Cloud Load Balancing and it is used to ensure systems don’t crash.
Programmability
Working in the virtual universe of the cloud gives us the power to do things quickly and efficiently. When dealing with hardware systems needed to be powered down, technicians needed to physically remove parts and then reinstall them. This could lead to mechanical failures, lost parts and more. In the new system all of this can be controlled with software. When we use software we can easily hit a few switches, raise sliders and even manually type numbers into a system. For example if a system needed additional ram we would simply type “32” and an additional 32 gigs of ram could be added to the system.
Infinitely Scalable
When relying on software to do the heavy work, systems are technically infinitely scalable. When developing the code for the cloud and their applications programmers can write their code to handle and manage infinite use cases and what should happen when these cases manifest. As a result an application can easily grow with the company making revisions and upgrades not as important.
Reduce Costs
Technically software is free. It is true programmers, developers and the initial development costs are high in many cases, but once the software is written and deployed the programmers no longer need to be paid. This makes deploying software based solutions extremely cost effective. When running a business and its goal is to scale having a software based solution is always a good idea.
