Use 192.168.2.1 IP address for home network modems
The 192.168.2.1 is the default IP address in the local network, which is mostly used in the home broadband routers. This IP address is able to set it on even specific brands and models of any router and computer on the local network. For instance, if the router uses this default IP address, you can easily log into the router’s console within the local network. Once you connected to the 192.168.2.1 address into the web browser, the home router will allow the user to enter the specific username and password in order to complete the login process successfully. In case, the browser shows that the web page is not available, the router is either offline or unable to respond the address due to technical failure.

Today, most of the home internet providers are supplying a wide range of routers and other networking equipments to the household users. The great features offered are to allow the administrator to give a friendly name in their web browser instead of IP address. Commonly, all the routers have the combinations of default IP address but you can change it based on your needs. When you use the 192.168.2.1 IP address, there is some restriction on using this address, and it cannot be used to connect the router from the external network. In case, you should connect the device from the outside network, it will cause some IP network conflicts.
