Many users want to update their contacts associated with Gmail but they don’t want to sign in for this and want to do it from outside, this can be done by using this method.
Change the Phone number on the desktop device
Any user can amend the contact details from outside of Gmail account by using this process.

Visit the website of Google account by using any web-browser.

Click on the personal info section located at the right side of the screen.

Scroll down and select the Phone option in the Contact info box.

Click on the edit button adjacent to the delete option.

Enter the password of the account to verify the identity.

Create a new password and provide the confirmation by re-entering it.
In the end, the user is required to click on Save Password to complete the process of amending the phone number.
Change the Phone number on the mobile device

Launch the Google app and log in to the account.

Tap on the Gmail icon and select Manage My Google Account.
