An animation studio is producing animated media. The broadest such companies believe of products to produce, own the physical equipment for production, employ operators for that equipment, and hold a major stake in the sales or rentals of the media produced. They also own rights over marketing and creative rights for characters created by the company, much like authors holding copyrights. In some early cases, they also agreed evident rights over methods of animation used in certain studios that were used for boosting productivity. Overall, they are business concerns and can function as such in legal terms.
Currently there are about 200 animation studios dedicated to the production and distribution of animated films that are active. They can be either actual production houses or corporate entities. An animation studio is responsible for the development and filming of a specific media broadcast. TV commercial house may be directly responsible for fundraising for the production or may accomplish this through a parent company, partner, or private investor.

A production company is responsible for the development and filming of a specific production or media broadcast. In entertainment, the production process begins with the development of a specific project. Once a final script has been produced by the screenwriters, the production enters into the pre-production phase and the final output is obtained in the form daily on air of the episodes. Therefore, to be successful in the TV industry it is better to have a full on knowledge of the pre to post production techniques. A production company provides the physical basis for works of the performing arts, new media art, film, television and video. In TV industry the first step begins with best possible research and planning.
TV commercial house are often either owned or under contract with a media media consultant, film studio, entertainment company who act as the production house's partner or parent house. This has become known as the "studio system”.
