5 Handy Steps to Set Avast Antivirus for Auto-Scan |
Posted: May 25, 2017 |
Avast anti-virus is one of the leading security programs that can schedule an auto-scan for viruses. It is, therefore, using an antivirus manually is risky because if you forget even single scan, it can lead to an unsafe situation. Starting with Version 6.0, Avast has had an inbuilt scheduling tool. Note: Before you communicate with the experts at the Avast customer support number, follow these steps to set Avast to Auto-Scan. Step 1: Place your mouse over the right corner of the window and choose the ‘Search’ option. Step 2: Input the ‘Avast’ into the search bar, and when it appears, double-click on it. It opens the Avast user interface. Step 3: Click the ‘Scan Now’ option on the left side of the window, followed by the ‘Create Custom Scan’ button. Click the ‘Scheduler’ button on the left corner of the screen. Step 4: Click the ‘Schedule this scan’ check box and then choose the scan frequency from the drop-down menu. You can now select the option not to run the scan if your PC is functioning without using the battery power, or stop it if it is running off of the battery power. Step 5: Set the time and the day for the scan using the options at the end of the window. Click the ‘OK’ button to save the scanning parameters. For Avast 8.X users, steps may be slightly different. However, if you’re unable to set the auto-scan after applying these actions, it’s suggested to call on the Avast customer service number and ask the help of professionals to configure the auto-scan in a professional manner and solve whatever problems you’re experiencing with the Avast antivirus.
