They realize how important images are to their followers and have responded with 2 incredible ways you can turn your tweets into a higher level of social engagement withphoto tagging and adding up to 4 pictures to a tweet.
Why is it important to add photos to your tweets?
- According to Twitter, tweets that have images receive a 35% boost in retweets.
- Since people are visual, it tends to draw their attention to you. It can increase your following, create conversation.
- If you are promoting an event, chat, or product, it will generate more interest in what you are promoting. Quotes within an image are also a great example of what tweets are well received with photos.
- Showing your “personal” side with your followers. People connect with those they feel comfortable with. Personal photos normally are well received with retweets.
Advantages of Photo Tagging
- Tagging doesn’t affect character count.
- You can tag up to 10 people.
- If you are tagged in a photo, you’ll receive notification in your stream.
- Photo tagging and Tweets with multiple photos will display in an embedded tweet.
I use often use images with my client’s tweets to make an impact. This doesn’t mean that every tweet should have an image attached. Use them where you feel they will be most effective.
