Let's Play Some Poker |

Do You Play Poker? Great song by Kenny Rogers – The Gambler- that is applicable to life as it is to cards. I was reminded of its simple wisdom: Know when to hold. There will be times when you just need to be patient. The farmer can’t force the crop to grow fast; she can only wait for them to grow. Waiting is all about the trust. And believe it or not, but trust is about your self image. Are you able to receive the gift when it comes? Know when to fold. We can keep working on a project or a relationship, hoping it’s gonna change soon, but it’s not. It never will. Good try, valiant effort, but stick a fork in it, kid. It’s done. Know when to walk away. [Know when to run.] Sometimes you can salvage bits and pieces of things and sometimes it’s best to leave town and not look back. Just like “folding”, we hang on expecting things to get better, even when we know they won’t. Both require honesty with your self. Play the hand you’re dealt. You cannot control what the dealer deals. How you play the cards however, is all you. So whattya say, Cowboy? Is it time to hold, time to fold or time to move on? Don’t let something external make that decision for you. This is not about taking control; this is about taking responsibility. You were born to make mistakes, not fake perfection. ~Sharbaksh http://www.loyaltepays.com/zippy/lv/54282/ For more personal responsibility, visit my FB page and check out the short STRESS BUSTER video I just posted. https://www.facebook.com/ConnectionCoaching
