The onslaught of bad news in the media is well known. Seems they love to perpetuate fear. We are simply inundated with these Bad News Bears - crumbling economy, rising unemployment, executive greed, lack of affordable healthcare, etc.
So the question is how can YOU stay positive and productive in this zone of negativity?
Less is More When it comes to the all news all the time, limit your daily intake, my news junkie friends. Read your news online so you can control what goes into the brain.
Avoid Negative People. While trying to keep a positive attitude, avoid people who thrive on negativity. You know who they are and how they love to tell you all about their pathetic marriage, thankless boss, selfish best friend, etc. Stop being the local garbage collector.
Pay it Forward. Be generous in your words, express gratitude freely and praise often. This behavior is not only free, it’s contagious.
Self Care Taking care of yourself is serious business and crucial to your happiness. Find what you enjoy and do it on a regular basis. Be mindful of what you are eating and drinking. Make sleep and rest a priority. Meditate. You know, put the oxygen mask on first.
Seek the Silver Lining You can hate me for this, but every challenge is an opportunity to learn something about your brilliance. [and you are] Great opportunities often come disguised as difficult situations. Look closely.
Stay the Course. As manifesting guru, Mike Dooley would say, “Thoughts become things…choose the good ones!” However…it takes 21 days for a behavior to become a habit, so you must persist. It’s all just around the corner. [which you’ll never know if you quit]. Stay the course.
If the Bad News Bears isn't working for you, perhaps it's time to find another team?
