Skiing can be performed in different terrains and the preference of the terrain varies from person to person. Milder or less steeper slopes are less challenging and preferred by beginners, while steeper slopes are preferred by expert skiers / skiing enthusiasts who enjoy adventures and challenges. Most people prefer powder snow which is safer and easier to ride through, while adventure lovers may prefer crusty form of snow which is more slippery and dangerous. Therefore, the steeper and less powdery the terrain, it’s more difficult for skiing. In Europe, the slopes are classified and color coded with respect to the steepness of the slope: Easy and mild slope is color coded as Green which can be used by beginners and children. Highly steep and most challenging slopes are color coded as Black that is used by expert Skiers and winter sports enthusiasts that take up challenges. T-Bar Ski Lifts or any other surface lifts are not recommended for steeper and challenging terrains. Regardless of the terrain used by the skier, the ski resort should ensure the safety of their guest. Therefore, the skiing equipment used should meet all safety standards and comfort levels.
