Should Cellphones Be allowed In School Essay Topics |

A group of high school students was asked by a teacher if they would be fine if their high school teachers banned cellphones from their classrooms. The teacher did not offer any advice on this issue and instead asked them what type of essay they were going to write. A majority of the students raised their hands indicating that they were fine with the idea. Their answers are what led me to write this article. Many people believe that cellphones should not be allowed in the classroom because of the distractions that they cause. Some also believe that cellphones can make the class less organized and more of a scrum. However, studies have shown that students need cellphones to be able to stay in touch with their friends. Cellphones are a wonderful way to stay connected with others while in school. It is not fair to ban them from the school for the sake of making new rules. A few years ago, a middle school student decided to put a camera on his cell phone. The camera went haywire and the boy's mom reported that the boy had called her daughter an obscene phrase. What does this have to do with should cellphones be allowed in school? Not much. Should cellphones cause us to be less organized? I would say no, we just need to make sure that the distractions we use cellphones for aren't causing problems in our classroom. One of the most common arguments against banning cellphones in the classroom is that cellphones distract the students from the teacher. This argument has some validity to it. If you're in a large room with many other students talking on their mobile phones, it can be difficult to keep track of everyone else. If they're talking on their mobile phones while the teacher is teaching in front of them, this can take concentration away from the teacher. So, now the question is whether cellphones can actually help students learn. There are some good arguments both for and against allowing cellphones in the classroom. One of the reasons why you might decide against allowing them in the classroom is that cellphones have some negative impacts on student behavior. Some studies have shown that cellphones can lead to increased irritability and increase the occurrence of ADHD in children. This means that there could be some negative impacts to the learning process, but we don't know enough yet to definitively prove these claims. You might also argue that allowing cellphones in the classroom would allow for greater communication and creativity. The use of cellphones can be beneficial to the learning process and can help students stay ahead of their peers. This Internet site can be a major factor when it comes to brainstorming and trying to find solutions. On the other hand, you could also argue that some forms of communication just cause distractions and do not contribute to the learning experience. Cellphones can definitely contribute to increased communication, but what's best for the students is the learning experience, not technology. Some teachers have introduced the use of a cell phone into the classroom, but have also introduced some other technologies. For example, some teachers use computers as a source of educational information. Although this can provide some advantages, the use of computer technology has some negative impacts on students as well. Again, we don't know enough about the negative impacts, but some scientists have proposed that the use of computer technology can have negative impacts on learning. Should cellphones be allowed in school? There is really no answer to that question. Some teachers have introduced the use of cellphones, but there is no research to support that they are having any negative impacts on students. In the end, the decision should be up to the teacher, but many consider that the quality of education is worth the use of cellphones.
