This innocuous book stumbled on attention in 2005 and contains passed through my hands several times since. I'd no inclination to peruse its contents for I'd ceased to trust in miracles. In 2005, I became cursing God for abandoning me. I became using all of my energy to stave off the hell I descended into Many years earlier by marrying a male as un-Godly anyone could be.
In 2007, while packing some books as donations for any book fair, me once more fell on "A Course in Miracles". By this time, I needed secured the divorce from my better half but had been coping with the fallout. Because i grasped the ebook, I became very thoughtful and calm. The thing that was it concerning this book that invoked feelings I hadn't familiar with some time? My hand clung to the book refusing to put it down. Acknowledging that it was indicative that I should take a closer look, I designed a ballewick and sat in my favorite reading chair. With great curiosity, I focused on the blue hardcover and read "A Course in Miracles, a basis for inner peace." Wow. That's a fairly bold statement but okay, I chose to bite. Having a deep breath slowly, I pondered the obvious question: What IS the foundation for inner peace? This book instantly opened a classic wound and it had better possess the response to healing.
"A Course in Miracles" is actually that, a training course. Designed in three parts, this book is just not being taken lightly and can't be read per week or even a month. There is text, a workbook for young students as well as a manual for teachers. I'd the sudden urge to fling the novel over the room because I was deeply and profoundly afraid. I instinctively understood that after I started scanning this book, I had been going to have to change and it was I ready to the journey ahead?
My personal favorite movie is "The Matrix". The main character Neo is looking for the solution to the matrix. He understands the matrix exists but he doesn't understand what it really is. He with all the answer, Morpheus, contacts Neo while offering the ability for truth by giving Neo an alternative between choosing a blue pill or even a red pill. Make blue pill and remain ignorant or make red pill in order to find the answer to the matrix. Before he reaches for his pill of preference, Morpheus cautions Neo which should he choose the red pill, they can never go back to the life he had been living.
"A Course in Miracles" could be the red pill. Do I make out the print and change everything I realize in regards to the world and myself or should i consider the blue pill to make "A Course in Miracles" book fair fodder?
When i choke around the red pill, I flip to Lesson 1 of 365 within the workbook for college students and promptly read, "Nothing in this room means anything". Oh dear. Is it too late to accept the blue pill?
