The American flag has evolved so much since it was first imagined after the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776. The primary official flag, often called the ‘Stars and Bars,' was the official Confederate flag from March 1861-Might 1863 and pretty intently resembled the Union flag. The modern American Flag is officially full, with five rows of alternating 5 and 6 stars staggered for visible attraction. One author, Ed Cruise, brought up the point that if there were such a committee, it's unlikely that George Washington can be a member of it as a result of he wasn't a member of Congress. Apparently sufficient, this was also the flag used by the British East India Company (although normally with lower than 13 stripes) after the United States gained its independence. Although similar to the unique Hopkin's flag, this flag changed the six-pointed stars with the more traditional five-pointed "American" stars. It should in all probability never be identified who designed our union of stars. Very few flags from that point still exist. Web page 99 has a picture of several, some are for 50 star flags. Here, Washington confirmed Betsy a sketch of a flag with 13 purple and white stripes and 13 six-pointed stars. Throughout historical past, the variety of stars on the flag has changed. The code, which was drawn up at the first National Flag Conference in Washington in 1923, is a part of the law of the land. The 35 Star Flag : This Flag became the Official United States Flag on July 4th, 1863. It has a blue background with the Saint George cross and pine tree in the canton similar to the fictitious Bunker Hill Flag, but has six stars in a circle on the fly. The 30 star Flag : This Flag grew to become the Official United States Flag on July 4th, 1848. Betsy Ross, a fourth-era American born in 1752 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, apprenticed with an upholsterer before irrevocably splitting together with her family to marry outside the Quaker religion. We all know that the 50 stars on the flag signify the 50 states and that the stripes characterize the unique 13 colonies. The distinctive history of the American flag follows the historical past of our nation and reminds us of the triumphant starting of the United States.
