This leaves a conundrum for consumers, do they go for the Desire Eye original ZTE V5 Red Bull U9180 for the camera, or the M9 for the power and performance? It may be that HTC hope to reach a broader audience with the Eye and expect premium users to still choose the M9 first. Whatever the reasoning let’s compare the HTC One Desire Eye specs with those expected for the HTC One M9: The Desire Eye is basically a clone of the M8 but with the front facing camera upgrade. This means it’s powered by the 2.3GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor and 2GB of RAM, while the M9 is expected to get a 2.5 GHz Snapdragon 810 processor, with 3GB of RAM The Eye has a slightly larger 5.2 inch LCD display than the M8 (5 inch), but the M9 is rumored to be coming with a 5.5-inch WQHD display. HTC officially unveiled their Desire Eye camera focussed smart phone this week, which they hope to position as the best selfie taker on the market, but where does this leave the HTC One M9 and should they have just used the camera on the flagship device. The M9 is poised to be the company’s next high end device, although a release date is not yet confirmed and they obviously bypassed this week’s event. But if that device is supposed to be the best they have to offer (specs wise it seems like it will be) one area it’s going to lag behind is in the camera department. In the mobile market as a wholeoriginal ZTE V956 it won’t be lagging, but compared to the 13 megapixel front facing Eye, it most likely won’t match up.
