How Do You Make a Good Study Planning |
Posted: March 4, 2018 |
With a planning you study faster and more efficiently. Difficult? No, you can also learn plans! Often students indicate that they have never really worked with a plan, or that they did have one, but it did not work. They feel that they can not stick to it anyway, or they find it too difficult to estimate how much time things cost. Because they feel that they are definitively committed by planning, they are less inclined to do this. However, it is a misconception that a planning is something that always remains fixed. Do not see a plan as something to hold on tightly, but as a helping hand. Keep your planning flexible by building in margins for delays or unexpected setbacks and see your progress every week. This way you can intervene on time if you are delayed, so that you will not be faced with unpleasant surprises! Step 1Make a list of everything you have to do. If a task is too big, you divide it into small, manageable pieces. A good tool to do this conveniently is for example WorkFlowy. Step 2Write down how much time you spend on each part. Add this and you know how much time you need to be ready before your deadline. Step 3Make a list with all data up to your deadlines. Write behind each date how many hours you want to spend on that day on your study. Add this and you know how much time you have available up to your deadlines. Step 4Puzzle it together. Compare the number of hours from step 2 with that of step 3. Do you have enough time to finish everything before your deadline? If not, where are you going to win time? You can also use the priority matrix if you find it difficult to make choices. Count back from your deadlines: Do you have to do fifteen hours of work in three weeks? Then plan five hours a week. Because you have a better overview of the tasks that have to be done and when you are going to do them, you will find that you can be more relaxed at the moments that you have planned freely. Step 5 - Study mastersDo you still have trouble making or keeping up with your planning despite this explanation? Then it's time for extra lessons! For tutoring plans, go to Study masters.
