KOW Steaks is an amazing family company providing genuine American Wagyu beef to all its customers.
The company was launched by Jon Urbana and his cousin about five years ago (in 2016), and they are breeding cattle for generations.
Jon's grandfather was the first to bring Wagyu Cows from Japan at their ranch back in the 70's after a visit in that country where he tasted for the first time the Wagyu beef, and since then they continue to grow this breed of cows reaching a pretty decent number of American Wagyu cattle today.
If you want to eat a very healthy and tasty Wagyu meat today along with your family and maybe friends, I suggest you to order online products from KOW Steaks, because all their products are very well appreciated by customers being very delicious and providing a high-protein tender meat that melts in your mouth like butter.
The Tomahawk Stake
Have you tried the tomahawk steak from KOW Steaks? The Tomahawk Wagyu stake is a nice big rib eye with a nice big bone on it that comes with great marbling.
Due to the marbling, the steak is full of flavor, so to cook it you only need a bit of salt and maybe pepper.
For a big cut of meat like the tomahawk steak, you have to set the grill or the smoker to a lower temperature, until the meat reaches an internal temperature of 115 degrees.
Then, you have to open the grill to let air ventilate the meat. After that you can cook the meat at a much higher temperature.
The tomahawk steak is extremely marbled with fat, so you don't want to cook this meat directly over the fire (you would only get a ton of flare-ups).
Use a soapstone or something similar to put the steak on it and cook it slowly. To get a wonderful crust you have to flip the steak every minute on each side without burning it.
Once finished, cut the steak and taste it, you will realize right away how tender the American Wagyu beef is, how juicy and with an amazing flavor that melts in your mouth due to the combined taste of steak and butter.
I keep saying buttery, but is not like greasy, it's a great meat with lots of flavor.
KOW brings together master chefs and premier wineries
KOW Steaks brings together master chefs like Nobu Matsuhisa, premier wineries and the top-quality ingredients for an unforgettable dining experience.
Why does steak go well with wine?
Well, you have to know that steaks, and especially a steak full of flavor like the American Wagyu steak produced by KOW Steaks, go well with red wine.
Red wines like Cabernets, Zindafel (for those preferring sweeter wines), Malbec or Syrah (Shiraz), contain molecules called tannins that soften the fat inside the meat to release its flavor.
The melted fat will mellow the wine's astringency, in order to release more of its fruit flavors. Wines such as an Argentinian Malbec are well-suited due to their higher density of tannin molecules.
