It was a record breaking week last week for Storeboard thanks to your support. We had more visits, visitors, and new sign-ups than any prior week. We announced that Storeboard was recognized as one of the Top 92 Social Media Sites. We continue to improve the site every day as Paul, our programmer, continues to put in 70 hour weeks in his home in Acapulco! It sounds like a great place to be except when you hear that he doesn't have air conditioning and is working indoors in temperatures that are often 90 degree Farenheit or hotter.
We have huge task lists every day to try and get this site better and better. Hopefully you have noticed some of the improvements and spend time learning how to create coupons, post classifieds, blog and invite friends. Everything possible on the site starts with "Your Storeboard" on the leftside of your Storeboard screen. If you have anything you want to do but can't figure it out please send me a note on Storeboard and Ill get right back to you.
I would encourage everyone to make some friends and get to know some of the people on the site. You never know when you might need some advice or want to use their service. One of the best aspects of the site is that it encourages us to interact as businesses and puts the focus on your service or business not on anyone's personality. This will hopefully encourage business and making business contacts. So go ahead and friend someone today!
One of my goals with the site is to eventually bring down the cost of advertising. Storeboard allows you to do so much with your profile. You can upload photos, videos, blog, create coupons, post classifieds, upload forms, etc. To do this on yellowpages.com (now yp.com) would cost a fortune each month and a lot of what we permit is not even offered on other sites. In order to attract the attention of consumers, we need to get the word out! You can invite others to join Storeboard quite easily by going to Invite Others to Join and either putting in your friends' or customers' names and email addresses or by linking into one of your address books of your E-mail service such as Gmail or Yahoo.
The Storeboard member who brings in the most new members or sends out the most invites will receive a free video for their business. This video will look something like this - Sample Video but will be tailored to your business.
