If you are a power washing company then you know what you know. What you do know is power washing. What you might lack knowledge in is industrial storage solutions. You can, of course, get this adjusted to your needs either lower or higher. You only have to ask for them at certain levels when you order it. Keep in mind that this assumes that you are working with a good company. If you are working with a good company then they can accommodate your request easily. If not, then you know that they are buying racks and reselling them. Not a huge deal but there is a myriad of other little details you need to consider such as permit issues having to do with your local government. A good way for you to miss important details you will need to run your business without the fear of reprisal from your local government.

The next thing for a person or company who already has an industrial storage solution is where to find replacement parts for that pallet rack. Unfortunately, pallet racks tend to take damage over time. Especially if you have a forklift in your business. You, probably, do not have a forklift, as a power washing company, but it really depends on how many teams you are running in the field. You can have a lot of equipment that you need to store until you need to use it. If that forklift comes in contact with your pallet rack then you will sustain damage. You will have to replace specific damaged parts in order to restore your pallet rack to its previous glory. Not to mention the fact that you want it to be as safe as possible for you and your employees to use. You also do not want your local government to shut you down during an inspection because you do not have a rack that is safe for business use.

One of the most common items that you will need to replace is a pallet rack beam. The beams provide part of the support that holds up your products or equipment off the ground. It is an important part of a pallet rack that must be present in order for it to be able to handle whatever you put on that rack-level. It is very common for these to sustain damage and they will need to be replaced as necessary. What you need to keep in mind is that not every step beam is made the same. You need to be cognizant of the fact that there are different attachment types on pallet racks. These attachment points dictate what kind of beams you can use on your pallet rack. The two common types of connections are Interlake and teardrop. Your pallet rack will accept one or the other commonly. However, you can get pallet racks that can accept both but they are far less common. You need to check to make sure that you get the right kind of connection so that you do not have an incompatibility issue between your beam and your pallet rack.

One of the types you should consider when you think about getting a new pallet rack beam is getting a step in the beam. What does that step do? The step allows the decking of choice to sit flush with the pallet rack. It is a good thing to have the decking sit flush because there are instances where products or pallets will get caught on certain kinds of decking if they are used on the pallet rack. Therefore, a stepped beam allows your decking of choice to sit flush with the level of the pallet. It makes removing and replacing products on that particular rack-level much easier. Also, by extension, it also protects you and your employees from possible accidents that may occur from falling products or pallets. A great thing for your business because the one thing that you need in your business for sure is someone to be able to do the power washing or pressure washing. If they get injured then you will have to do it yourself or if you are injured then you will have to find someone who can do the job for you. You also have to factor in the possibility of litigation and worker compensation claims. All dangers that a good business owner seeks to avoid if at all possible.
