One of the things that I've learned over the years is that it's not always fun to read the Bible in the morning, but reading it on a daily basis makes the experience different. A Bible verse can be an awesome way to start your day. There's something about morning readings that really stirs the spirit and makes you want to get up and do something immediately. So, why not create a collage of some of your favorite verses from the Bible and make a scrapbook, or even print out several of your favorite daily Bible verse pictures? Here are some tips for doing that. Some ideas may be helpful.
There are several ways to do this. One of the simplest methods is to use pictures that have a similar font and color as your text. You could scan it into your computer and then use a free or low-cost program like Photoshop or CorelDraw to put your picture in the correct position. For the back cover, just upload your scanned picture into a free or low-cost image editor like Paint Shop Pro and make a collage using the same colors and font you used for the front cover.
You can also make a collage from a small collection of your favorite photos of people, places, or things. Take a picture of yourself, your loved ones, or a favorite place every day and take a photo yourself. You can then turn that photo into a small collage in a page of your daily Bible. Try using a larger photo of your special place or person and using that as the background for a small, single-page scrapbook, or a larger collage of all of your photos. Use any type of paper for the front and back of each page, and any type of format for the inside pages (if you have extra pages you'd like to print out on nice paper).
The best thing about making a scrapbook with Bible verses is that you can change the verses around. If you love particular birds or animals but not sure what they would look like on a paper print, just use your favorite photo. Or, if you want to put some other object in the photo, just use it! Make sure the colors are close to each other, and that you don't mismatch them.
The hardest part of putting together a photo collage using Bible verses is working out where to put all of your pictures. I usually use a square punch or pencil to line up all of my pictures. After that, I just take all of my unopened Christmas or birthday cards and group them by topic or year of importance. I start with the most important verses and work my way down. If you're going to do this, make sure you keep all of your other cards in a separate file so you can easily change your daily Bible verse collage later on.
To get started on your collage, just choose a theme for your scrapbook, write a few words about it, and then grab a photo or two from your computer. Then you're ready to go! You can print out your finished project on colored paper (my preference), or frame some of your photos if you want to keep them on the page. Take any printed pictures and put them in your favorite scrapbook frame. It's fun to see how your collage will turn out.
