Have you been away from churches for a while? But now feel like returning? There are many people like you. Several persons left visiting church many years ago, and now as they are interested in nurturing their spiritual part, they want to return. However, some people experience a strange feeling in doing so, and that’s why they couldn’t get back to the churches. We contacted to a few visitors of churches in Aurora Colorado and came to know that many of them stopped visiting churches when they were in their teens, but as they become adult, they resumed the visit. Find the right congregationLike people, Churches differ in personality. Even if the denomination is same, some churches are more liberal than others. If you wish to get involved in Catholic church, visit different congregations or parishes. If you don’t have any option in mind, attend a multicultural, multi-generational church. You don’t need to stick to the congregation in which you grew upMany people actually don’t like the idea of returning to the same denomination, not churches. If visit the holy place to connect with the God, so it doesn’t make a difference that what congregation you attended. You may find a new community to make a fresh start. Beware of projectionIt is possible that the last time you visited the church when you were a teenager. It may even make you relate to the place with the mind of a teenager. However, it is important to remember that you are an adult now. You should now expect the pastor and other community members to treat you with required respect and dignity. It is normal to have interfaith interestsWhen you were last in a church, you might have been told that it is not right to be interested in the creeds of other religions. Unfortunately, plenty of churches don’t allow an open-minded understanding of Christianity. But there are also many churches where it is normal to be interested in contemplation, mysticism and other faiths. You can talk about your interests with the pastor of the church. Returning to Church is always a good decision. By regularly attending the church, you not only get a chance to connect with the God but also to meet new people from the neighborhood.
