Are you a fan of marathons? How about the grove? Well, if you are, then you should be quite happy to know that a run was organized to help out the grove. Yes, this happened on the 3rd of May at the Grove which was its starting point.
Those who were interested in joining actually had to sign up as early as they can. This would be able to help the organizers know how much people to expect and how much to prepare for. This event is done annually and many have been joining this each year. This is the We Run The Grove event and it has been quite a popular one in the area. It offers you the chance to run for 13.1 miles or 10 kilometers. Of course, you can always opt to run or to walk if you cannot run the whole way.
For this year, the We Run The Grove event has been hosted by ‘N Sync member Lance Bass. He was joined by his husband Michael Turchin. Also, Christina Pascucci of KTLA was there alongside them, cheering the runners on.
Some individuals and groups were not sure where to go when it comes to the starting point and so they took help from FiestaTaxi and booked themselves a taxi, cab, or taxicab that was of their preference. It was also interesting to get a Whittier taxi cab, Alhambra taxi cab, Cerritos taxi cab, or Norwalk taxi cab from the street but that would always be a surprise as you would not know what kind you are going to get. However, when you book a Whittier taxi cab, Cerritos taxi cab, Alhambra taxi cab, or Norwalk taxi cab from Fiesta Taxi, you would be able to get one that suits your needs (or wants). This cab company has been known for its really professional taxi and taxicab services.
There was an early bird admission which would actually allow interested participants to register early and then get a discount. However, that early bird admission was only available for a certain time. After that, those who wanted to join and participate would have to pay the full $10. All of the money that has been acquired actually was given to The Trevor Project. This is actually an organization that aims to help out people prevent doing suicide especially for the youth who are part of the LGBT community.
The We Run The Grove 13.1 Run/Walk event actually started at nine in the morning. Each of the runners who signed up and registered actually took home a bib as well as an event shirt. Before that, those who needed to sign up right before the start of the event actually were able to do that at eight in the morning before the actual run. It was a really fun event with a lot of people joining and supporting the cause. There were activities that were also held right after the race to give time to those who were there to enjoy more and relax.
