Students are challenged to demonstrate their knowledge through an essay written from the perspective of a believer. This type of essay is challenging for students and it requires them to think outside of the word "classroom." The topic of what the bible means to me must be thought through carefully before attempting to write it. Questions that arise when writing this type of essay will vary depending on what the student wants to present as their main point. The goal is to get your students thinking outside of the word "classroom," which is what they will likely think of if they have never explored the topic deeply.
