The best link sources are always high-quality websites (i.e., those with higher DA and trusted by Google, for example, Wikipedia). Suppose you have no links (compared to the number of links your competitors have). In that case, your competitors will rank better despite their many low-quality links.
It would be best to build backlinks from various websites (with a Domain Authority (DA) between 40 and 100). Make sure not to use links from spammy websites and to keep track of your backlinks regularly.
