If you’re separating from your spouse, I’m sure you want to know what your life will look like in the future. I know it's hard to begin considering how things can change, but I have seen many clients move through this uncertainty and feel a renewed sense of wellbeing and even become whole again.
As a family mediator, I offer couples a way to settle their legal issues sensibly and affordably.

How I Got Started
The foundation of my approach as a Family Mediator is a natural outgrowth of the reflexive practices and strategies I developed and used extensively during my work in healthcare prior to becoming a mediator.
I have always had a strong intention to promote aspects of justice and treatment of others that are in line with their needs. For the past 8 years, I have specialized in working with adults experiencing irreversible life changes, and have an extensive background in supporting people who have suffered prolonged grief in ways that promote renewal and peace of mind.
Working privately, I advocated on behalf of my clients within the facilities where they lived in ways that promoted independence and emotional fulfillment. I continue to be a strong advocate in these ways, however, the rights-based context I used previously has been honed and softened with self-reflection practices, learning in trauma-informed methodologies and harm-reduction service models.
Customer Can Expect
In light of the coronavirus pandemic, mediation sessions will be held online using the Google Meet platform for the foreseeable future. In-person mediations will remain unavailable until current social distancing policies are removed.
All issues to be discussed in mediation will have to be agreed upon by all parties to the mediation.
Progress notes can be made available to each party after each meeting, so that they have time to review and reconsider what they have agreed upon.
When issues to be mediated have legal ramifications (i.e. division of assets and property, shared parenting or support arrangements) the process is best supported when the participants seek independent legal advice from a family lawyer both during the process, and as it is being finalized.
