Alex Crisses is a managing director at Insight and focuses on infrastructure software and internet investments. He has served on the Board of Directors of GFI Software, Ticket Monster, TeamViewer, 6Waves LOLapps, and Jagex Limited. Alex also invests in online gaming and ''freemium'' software companies. Alex sourced and worked with Solarwinds Inc., from Insight's initial investment all the way to Solarwind's IPO (NASDAQ: SWI). Alex also sourced and led Insight's investments in GFI Software and TeamViewer where he oversaw the merger of the two companies and spearheaded the acquisition of Hounddog Technologies to create GFI Max. Alex was also involved in the acquisitions of both ScriptLogic Corporation and Imceda Software by Quest Software. Additionally, he led the firm's investment in group-buying company Ticket Monster which, at the time of acquisition by Living Social, was the leader in Korea. Alex has further played a significant role in Insight's investments in Nexon, CVent, Acronis, Parallels, and Wix.
Alex is a key mentor of new team members at Insight. He is part of the management team that oversees Insight's analyst recruiting and training program and assists with candidate selection and new employee on-boarding.
Prior to joining Insight, Alex worked as an investment banking Analyst with Credit Suisse First Boston's Global Energy and Power Group.He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business with a BS in Economics.
