| How We Got Started | | We have been collecting and testing varieties of alpine and woodland strawberries for over 25 years. In more recent years we started collecting and testing varieties of Fragaria virginiana (scarlet strawberry or wild strawberry) and heirloom and heritage varieties of hybrids long forgotten. It is amazing how many excellent varieties were ''lost'' because they did not tolerate cross country shipping. Now, with the buy local movement these varieties have a place in commercial fields and in home gardens. Bring back that long forgotten flavor and aroma by growing these amazing varieties. |
