Serious Reportable Events Identification and Prevention Part 1 |
|
http://medcomrn.com/ | Ensuring and increasing patient safety are primary goals for most every healthcare organization. Large scale efforts as the Serious Reportable Events in Healthcare list developed by the National Quality Forum (NQF), the Hospital-Acquired Conditions provision of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) payment system, and the Joint Commission’s “National Patient Safety Goals” have been put in place to make this goal a reality. Each is important in supporting endeavors to ensure patient safety.
This course will discuss the first three categories of reportable events from the NQF’s Serious Reportable Events in Healthcare list. After completing this course, you should be able to:
• Identify the three standards in the surgical or invasive procedure events category
• Identify the three standards in the product or device events category
