| How We Got Started |
| Hugh learned the art of mushroom cultivation from Paul Stamets when he went out to Washington State in March of 2007 to one of his in-depth workshops. He learned tissue culture, spawn generation techniques, substrate preparation, inoculation techniques, and strategies for maximizing yields. He went back in June of 2007 to a two day intensive workshop that discussed the current practices, evaluation of strategies, and choice of the appropriate fungal candidates for Mycorestoration.
He got hands-on experience in applying mycelium and designing fungal responses to catastrophia.
