Twitter Inc (NASDAQ:TWTR) managed to make a revolution in written world since last 8 years, making many people around the world concentrate their views into 140 characters when expressing to the world. Nowadays it has become one of the most used methods of general public connecting with celebrity figures, and also companies getting in a closer relationship with their customer base. Since it has a “followers” method, rather than a concept of “friends” in many other social media websites, Twitter ranks high among the vast communities that share same interests. Over the past few years, Twitter has grown larger to the extent a lot of trending social media websites cannot reach.
So what?
One of the main weak points in Twitter was its loss of easy accessibility for the new users. Although it can be a great platform for those who already have a large number of followers, getting started on it still remains frustrating for many. Since the feed system in Twitter is constantly flowing, any “Tweet” that is posted is unlikely to reach many people at any given time. Therefore, the outreach of any Twitter page depends on the number of followers, hence the more followers you have the bigger possibility to be seen.
Now what?
The newest changes that came along with anniversary celebrations mainly targeted to make it a nice place for the new users. The eye catching interface and prominence to the photos and featured tweets seem to address more for the new crowd rather than the old users who have been used to the simple layouts of Twitter Inc (NASDAQ:TWTR) that it used to have. However, the new changes predicts a promising future for the company and all its users, the more exposure and the value of all the posts done through this platform will be getting. Although the old users seem a little impatient with all the changes been done to the layouts of Twitter that they were used to for a long time, hopefully they will come around and embrace the future of their much loved social media website.
