IN THE UNITED STATES The Senate Banking Committee will conduct a hearing on derivatives reform. Witnesses will be Mary L. Schapiro, chairwoman of the Securities and Exchange Commission, and Gary Gensler, chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (Tuesday). A Senate Banking subcommittee will hold a hearing on the China strategic and economic dialogue (Wednesday). The Senate Banking Committee will hold a hearing about the Responsible Homeowner Refinancing Act, while Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner will speak at the commencement of the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (Thursday).
